Bulbs, Bulbs, Bulbs...NOW.

As mid-September slips by, we're reminding everyone that now's the time: Don't let fall go by without adding some spring-flowering bulbs to your meadow. You can buy them from us, or from any other place, but buy them now. Stocks begin to decline around this time, and by November, your ground will probably be freezing, and more important, the imports from Holland run out. Advance your meadow's blooming season by a month or more by putting in bulbs now! Choose perennial types, and you'll love them every spring from now on.

Our Workfree "Wild" Roses are back.

Fall shipping has begun. And it includes a great choice of roses that have the "wild form" flowers (simple, but large and showy), making them perfect for a wild meadow. Unlike the true species roses, all these repeat bloom, so they give you beautiful roses all season long. Enjoy!

Watch for us on HGTV Cable TV

During August, a wonderful film crew from the booming cable channel, HGTV (House and Garden Television) arrived in Vermont to shoot a segment on wildflower gardening with our company. I had to wade into the flowers, and explain each one. We then used a rototiller and did a demonstration of "how to plant wildflower seeds." It was great fun working with the pros. Look for us on their gardening show called "Gardening by the Yard." As usual, they never know when it will air, but it'll be during the next few months.
