Did you see me on HGTV?

Even though it was shot over a year ago, our wildflower segment on "Gardening by the Yard", the popular show on the Home and Garden Cable Channel, HGTV, finally aired on Sat. Oct. 15. I think the producers did a great job. This all started long long ago when they asked if they could come to Vermont and do a wildflower show at our Wildflower Farm. I agreed, and then that day (during August, 2004), we shot almost 5 hours of Q&A with me standing in the weeds. HGTV.com, the cable channel's website, has also done a really nice follow-up page for their site, so if you missed the TV show, you can read all about here: Click here to read all about the show.

Where are the leaves?

The bad news is that the colorful fall leaves in Vermont are, well, late. We've been here over 20 years, and I always say the peak of color in the Burlington area is Columbus Day. Well, not this year. You have to really search to find one red leaf right now, and it's already October 10! However, here's the good news. The leaves have to change. The colors will come. They're just late. Which means our "leaf peeping" season will be extended at least until late October. Come on up and enjoy.
