Our Vermont Wildflower Farm's Grand Reopening
This spring, a wonderful young couple, Chris and Diana Borie, purchased The Vermont Wildflower Farm from us, so now after 24 years, our company is web-only. The VWF is where it all started, way back in the early eighties when the Allens moved to Vermont and turned their hobby into a business. Since then, we've built the catalog, the website, and also enjoyed operating the Wildflower Farm from April through October every season. For the last several years, our son Terry, was the owner, but now, since he has other business interests, the whole operation including the real estate has been sold. So now our original 8-acre wild garden and beautiful gift and seed shops are the responsibility of the Bories, and we wish them well. Diana is a Vermont native who has known our business for years, and along with her husband, Chris, has been looking for her own business for some time. They are continuing to sell American Meadows seeds, so all the same seed products will be there. We invite you to visit The Vermont Wildflower Farm soon and wish our new owners well. They've already made big changes and wonderful renovations! If you're planning a trip to Vermont, give them a call at (802)425-3641, and they'll be happy to send you a brochure with more information and a map. (The Wildflower Farm is on US Rt. 7 just south of Burlington.) They also have a brand new website: www.VermontWildflowerFarm.com

Wild tulips -- Wild daffodils -- Wild iris -- Wild crocus
All wildflower gardeners know that every flower is wild somewhere. The same is true of tulips and daffodils, and we've gathered many of the wild or "species" bulbs in our collection of fall bulbs, now for sale at AmericanMeadows.com.
